What Can We Say?

Once again the results of our April 2026 book sale proves that our supporters are numerous, strong and committed to our mission.

We saw many shoppers visit multiple days to see what treasures they could find, DVD’s they must watch and CD’s that brought back music of their youth or expanded their favorite genres.
We were able to give children and students 5 age appropriate free books every day they came to see us.
Following a trend began with our sales after the pandemic, we exceeded our sales expectations which allows us to fund more projects at the Napa County Library.
In addition to the April book sale, our honor system Lobby Sale raises funds to sponsor programs like the Memory Lab. Make sure you check it out when you enter the library. You can’t miss it, it is all along the left wall as you enter the building. The books, CD’s, DVD’s, puzzles and games offered for sale are restocked throughout the day. New to the Lobby Sale are book sets. Carefully curated by our hard working volunteers, we offer sets particularly selected by our Young Adult readers.

How can we have a Book, CD, DVD, Puzzle and Game sale without books, CD’s, DVD’s, puzzles and games? We can’t! And that is where the entire Napa community steps in. Book etc donations come in everyday, filling our book bins to overflowing and spilling out onto the books carts kept at the ready. Sometimes book donations are so large, we have to ask that large donations be scheduled with our Book Sale Manager. And because we want to offer the best items available, we have to set some conditions standards for donated items. Click here for more information on our accepted donation conditions.
Books and other items are not the only donations we encourage and receive. Monetary donations also help fund our mission and projects we support at the Napa County Library. The CanDo Give!Guide is a wonderful way for our supports to donate to us. As well, we receive honorary, legacy and general monetary donations throughout the year.
