All of the proceeds from the book sales pay for many library programs. Without our fundraising, many programs may go unfunded for 2021. We are excited to announce it is getting a face lift for the holidays. Starting on Monday, December 7, you will find the lobby book sale stocked with Better Children’s Books (really good stuff) and Better Gift Books for the holidays.
A Great opportunity to do both your Christmas shopping and support the on-going work of the Napa Friends of the Library. Stop by when you visit the library.
Shopping hints: the Lobby Sale is on the honors system and we take cash or checks made out to FOL Napa.

The 2020 Give!Guide annual giving event is set to kickoff on Tuesday, December 1st. The giving window for this year is from December 1 – December 31. This will be your chance to help out the Napa Library via a donation to the Friends of the Napa Library (FOL). All giving will be through an on-line portal this year. The Give!Guide website, CanDoGiveGuide.org, will be up and running and ready to receive your donation(s) as of December 1. Donations may be made on-line or via check through the mail. Watch this space as the kickoff date of December 1st nears, the countdown begins and excitement builds!
Once again the generous Napans donated so many used books we were able to hold our second Back Door/By the Box Book Sale this fall. The response from book-hungry Bay Area residents was overwhelming and we were able to sell all of the books we had collected for the sale.
Our regularly held multi-day sales successfully support many library programs. Because currently we cannot safely hold sales in their regular format, the Back Door/By the Box sales generate enough funds so we are still able to support some of the programs at the library.
Thank you to everyone who donated books, purchased boxes of books and volunteered to box donated books or work at the sale itself.
We continue to process donations and hope to collect enough books to hold our third sale very soon – hopefully before Christmas. Watch this website and social media for updates on when we will hold our next sale!
